The Paint Is Lava is an online multiplayer shooter on Roblox where every weapon fires paint. Players score by splatting each other with paint and by painting the arena so the other team can't safely walk, climb or swing across it.
- No blood or gore. Hits are paint splats; a player who is "out" bursts into paint and respawns.
- Bright, cartoon art. Toy-like weapons and colourful arenas, including a giant bedroom full of toys.
- Age guidance. Roblox shows its current maturity label and age guidance for the game on the game page. Please check it there; it is set through Roblox's own questionnaire.
Money
- The game is free to play.
- Optional purchases are cosmetic only: outfits, hats, weapon finishes and a premium season-pass track with extra looks. Nothing for sale makes a player stronger.
- No loot boxes or random paid rewards: the player always sees exactly what an item is and its price before Roblox asks to confirm.
- No pop-ups or countdowns pushing purchases in the game.
- All payments go through Roblox using Robux. The game never sees card details.
- You can set spending limits, spending notifications and purchase restrictions with Roblox parental controls.
Chat and other players
Players are matched with other people online. Chat, friend requests and who can join your child's games are all controlled by Roblox account settings, which you can manage through Roblox parental controls. Private lobbies let friends play only with each other.
